Europe String

Zara and Mango

by Melissa Atienza-Petri on August 21st, 2007

ZaraI am a fan of clothing brands Zara and Mango. Mango is a mass market clothing chain. Zara, on the other hand, does not mass produce (hence, a trip to Zara every week could be very well worth it) and they always have new stuff on their shelves. Both brands offer cheap yet chic clothing.

Anyway, both companies have expanded outside of Spain. And they have taken the rest of Europe and some North American cities by storm.

So… what is my point and what has these clothing chains have anything do with budget travel Europe?

Well… both Zara and Mango are Spanish-brands. And, guess what, it actually is even cheaper if you buy them in SPAIN!

I checked out the airport branch and the one at Gran de Garcia.  As a regular of the Frankfurt branches (both in Rossmarkt, the Zeil and MTZ branches), I was really surprised at the difference when I checked out the goods here in my temporary abode in Barcelona.

So… if you are coming to Barcelona, you might want to consider saving a few more so you can go shop at Zara or Mango.
