University Housing in the Summer
While the students are home for the summer, budget travelers can stay at University dormitories for minimal cost.
University of Westminster, King’s College and the London School of Economics are just a few of those who rent out student dorm rooms during school breaks.
Wherever in Europe you may decide to travel this summer, check out google for Universities in the area. You may get lucky and find one or two which might be offering cheap accommodations.

We stayed at London School of Economics several days during July 2007. It was perfect location next to Trafalgar Square, easy walk to the Tube. Clean and comfortable single rooms with private bath. Only negative, the shared kitchens did not stay clean so we did not use. Staff was helpful.
