Holland’s one place that I’ve never been to (a stopver at Schipol totally does not count!) and one that I really want to visit. Thanks for the picture and hope you have more to include with your highlights later on ;)

Hi,

Gorgeous photo! My daughter and I celebrated our 30th and 60th birthdays in The Netherlands. I fell in love with Amsterdam, the countryside, and the people. I would love to go back and visit.

I also wanted to introduce myself–I am excited about writing for The Good Musician, and will be touring Eastern Europe this summer with a group I sing with. Any advice you may have about travelling and blogging would be greatly appreciated.

Claudia - thanks for introducing yourself and welcome to b5! Your trip around Eastern Europe sounds like a lot of fun - maybe I’ll have to talk you into doing some guest blogging for EuropeString. :) Depending on what your computer/internet situation will be (or how predictable it will be), I’d recommend blogging ahead before your trip so you have pre-written posts to publish while you are on the road. Less stress that way! I’d be happy to chat more with you if you’d like any more ideas.

I am sure the Netherlands is a wonderful country. With all the tulips and the windmills and the clogs :-) How about the cheese? I wish!

As an American who just relocated to Amsterdam with his wife, I must say I’m enjoying living in the freest country in the world ;)
