New Routes for European Budget Airlines

Please excuse the sporadic updates. I was down with bronco-pneumonia while traveling around South East Asia.
Anyway, I am back and you can expect daily updates once again. For today, I’ll just point out the new routes being serviced by some of the budget airlines which serve Europe:
Norweigan Air now flies between Oslo and Edinburgh and also between Birmingham and Warsaw.

Update on UK Air Travel Tax Hike

As previously reported, air passengers leaving UK will be facing an increase from February 2007. Yes, even if you have booked and paid for your flight before the tax hike was announced last December.
To repeat…

On short -haul flights, you can expect a tax increase of £5 to £10 per economy class passenger.
On long-haul flights, you have to cough up £40 for economy class (double for business class but that definitely would not apply to you, dear budget traveler).

Note that AIRLINES ARE DEMANDING FURTHER PAYMENTS FROM TRAVELERS FOR TICKETS BOOKED BEFORE THE TAX HIKE WAS ANNOUNCED.

RyanAir flies to Morocco

RyanAir flies to Morocco

So, it’s part of North Africa but, hey, it is near enough to Europe that those who are already in the continent and are itching for an adventure (cannabis anyone? hehe) at budget prices would probably welcome this news.
From October on, RyanAir will fly from Marseille (for €1) and Frankfurt-Hahn (for €10) to Morocco.Even better, according to the guys over at FlyerTalk, taxes from Morocco is under €10!
