You know, when you get the munchies.

To save a few Euros, try buying at any of the Lidl or Aldi stores in the city. You can find them at the following addresses:

Lidl:
Hemonylaan 25, 1074 BJ Amsterdam
Sarah Burgerhartstraat 80, 1055 LD Amsterdam
August Allebeplein 61, 1062 AB Amsterdam

Aldi:
Nieuwe Weteringstraat 24 – 28, 1017 ZX Amsterdam
Pijnackerstraat 36, 1072 JV Amsterdam
Baarsjesweg 269-273, 1058 AD Amsterdam
Gaaspstraat 41, 1079 VC Amsterdam
Waterlandplein 2, 1024 LV Amsterdam

Unfortunately, Lidl and Aldi are closed on Sundays. So you need to shop earlier, if needed. Otherwise, you can head for any of the numerous Albert Heijn shops which can be found all over Amsterdam. It’s not really priced for a budget traveler but it should help you when you are craving for food.

Oh yea, bring your backpack with you go shopping. A plastic bag costs around .15-.25 Euro cents.

Post from: Europe String
