Personally, I love traveling in the “off” season. Smaller crowds, lower prices, and no oppressive hot sun beating down on me (I’m not a summer person). Yes, it can be quite chilly, and the hours of daylight are much shorter, but as long as you don’t mind bundling up, exploring European cities in the winter can be a budget traveler’s dream.
