Ibiza in Spring

by Melissa Atienza-Petri on February 14th, 2006

Spring is just around the corner and it probably is time to start planning that much awaited Spring break.  What better way to welcome the sun back than to party in hedonistic Ibiza.

Where to Stay:

With your backpack and sleeping bag, you can save more Euros by staying at Camping Cala Nova, one of Ibiza’s best camping grounds.

“By the southern end of Cala Nova beach, walking distance from Es Canar. Has a big barbeque in the middle that you and your friends can use, if your timing is good. Suitable for sporty types, who you’re likely to find here. Also has a supermarket (supermercardo) attached to the capsite. Alledgedly this is the only site featured in the Rough Guide to ibiza, which is some sort of recommendation?”

Other camping sites, should Cala Nova be fully-booked, can be found here.

Where to Eat:

Before you go clubbing, fill yourself up at Comidas-Bar San Juan. Food is good and cheap. Definitely, a lot more affordable than what is offered near the club scene.  It can be found at C/ Montgri, 8.

Prices:
Appetizers, up to 2,40 €
Fish, 3,60 - 5 €
Meat,  3,50 - 6 €
Dessert, 1,50 €
House Wine,  0,7 Liter ca. 4,20 €

Where to Party:

Now this is a bit difficult for budget travellers.  If you’d  like to party at the famous clubs (like Pacha, Space, Amnesia and El Divino), you would have to shell out around 40Euros. So, partying every night is not really an option. Make it up by having fun and making friends while sunning yourself at the beach ;-)

How to get there:

For those coming in from the US, your best bet would be Priceline, where you can name your price.

For those in Europe, several budget airlines are there for you.
