Famous hostels are famous for obvious reasons… cheap price, good location and clean accommodations. And when you search the database of Famous Hostels, you’d be happy to find that most even have extras like freebies (internet, breakfast and linens, among others) or better facilities which you will not find in your standard hostels.

I have stayed in a couple of the hostel linked to Europes famous hostel as so far I can say they were above and beyond the standard hostel. My favortie was in Lisbon. “Oasis Mansion” has by far been my favorite hostel in my 6 month trip around the world. Good staff, super clean, and that extra something that I just cant describe. Maybe it was how comfortable all the common spaces made you feel, or the bar tender giving us tip on all the hot underground nightlife, or the owner coming over one saturday morning to cook crepes for all in the house. I don`t know what it was but it was perfect. Because of this place I will definitely check out more “famous hostels”
