Europe String

Discover Germany

by Melissa Atienza-Petri on April 7th, 2006

After my entries about getting a free ticket, booking cheap accommodations and finding cheap places to eat or drink during the worldcup 2006, I have been getting more and more requests for more tips which are city (or World Cup venue) specific.

Will work on your questions.   Thank God, the research will be easier since I have lived in Frankfurt (one of the venues) for the past 6 years.  Plus, I have been to ALL the host cities (venues).

J. Frangeli from Canada asks, “I have tickets for the Portugal-Iran game in Frankufrt. What can I do during my free time? I have never been to Frankfurt before and I would like to explore the city without spending a lot of money.”

Best would be to take a self-guided walking tour of Frankfurt.

And for those whose destination is in another city, don’t fret. I will write self-guided walking tours for all host cities.

For now, you can check out Part 1 (2 part series) of the Frankfurt Self-Guided Walking Tour.  I will keep you updated when the next part is published.
