Dine at Port Olimpic

by Melissa Atienza-Petri on June 19th, 2007

Barcelona’s Port Olimpic is a marina lined with bars, restaurants and discos. It’s one of the best places where you can find excellent seafood restaurants.

If your budget is limited, though, you may want to keep in mind the following:

  • As it is in other cities, dinner is more expensive than lunch.
  • Most have noticeboards where you can check the prices before you do go in.
  • If you do eat lunch, they normally have lunch of the day (menu del dia in Spanish) which consists of 3 courses and coffee.
  • Exercise your legs a bit as prices fall the farther the restaurant is from the main entry point.

My colleagues and I went to La Fitora and had tons of seafoods and several bottles of white wine. It wasn’t really your typical budget dining sample but, hey, the company was paying that night!
