Cheapest and most Expensive Cities in Europe
The Cost of Living Report by Mercer Human Resource Consulting is designed to ”measure the differences in cost of living that expatriates and their families encounter when transferred abroad.”
Of course, this also reflects the cost which travellers might incur when vagabonding.
And in Europe, Budget Traveller you might want to avoid Moscow as this Russian city was cited as the MOST expensive city in the World! Other costly cities include London, Geneva, Copenhagen and Zurich.
You’d be glad to know that Eastern European cities (except for Kiev in Ukraine which moved up due to the value of the local currency against the dollar and rising costs) have dropped in ranking because of the devaluation of their local currencies against the dollar.
Cheapest city in Europe? Leipzig.
You might want to take the above survey into consideration when you plan your next European vacation.

Moscow? Really? It never would have crossed my mind, but now that you say it. It does make perfect sense doesn’t it? I think I’d rather travel to somewhere warmer anyway. :)
