Airline meals - scout them out in advance

This is one of those links I keep meaning to post about and then forgetting… Wondering what they’ll serve you on board your next flight? What the horse’s stance on a statue tells you

Absolutely nothing. You can stop telling people that you heard about how one hoof raised means the guy died in battle and that four hooves raised means the horse had magical flying powers. This urban legend is persistent (I’ve heard it from multiple tour guides in various countries), but it’s just not true.

Photo of the day: Zurich’s unpopular Christmas lights

Zurich’s main shopping street (Bahnhofstrasse) gets decked out for Christmas each December, and since 2005, the lights above the street have been disappointing locals and tourists alike. Passenger Rights in the EU

Unlike in the USA where Rule 240 will not protect you anymore, the European Union has strict rules on Passenger Rights and Air Safety.  They have made sure that you are protected when there are cancellations and long delays.
“This new piece of legislation has introduced significant improvements to the protection of air passengers’ rights in […]

The Ultimate European Tourist Trap Guide

Some tourists are stupid. Some of them (okay, okay, I could probably write WE hehe) pay for twice or even thrice the usual amount. Others are easily tricked into paying to see an insignificant establishment that not a single soul who know any better would even pay a centavo for.
Of course, unsuspecting […]

The Travel Fine Print

Do you always read the fine print before you make your booking? Honestly?
I didn’t think so.
It’s that part written in very small letters or in light grey (as opposed to the black print everything else are written with). It’s where companies write the exclusions, reductions, exemptions and limitations of coverage. When booking online, […]
