Budget Frankfurt

Since Frankfurt is the geographical center of, dare I say, Europe, there’s a big chance that you’ll end up here at some point.

Frankfurt is one of Germany’s cosmopolitan melting pot and it could be more interesting than what most tourists would have thought. Should you want to know more about Frankfurt am Main, check out Frommer’s Frankfurt Guide.
Budget traveler tips, that’s what I am here for.
When in Frankfurt…
like in all other cities, do NOT take taxis. The train station is on the lower level of the airport. For 3.30Euro (as opposed to 25-30Euros for taxis), you can take a train to the city center.
if you plan to seeing all the sights, you can buy one/two day Frankfurt cards (7.80/11.50Euro) gives you unlimited travel on public transport plus 50% reductions on ALL important museums. You can buy the cards at all tourist info stands and at the Deutsche Bahn office which can be found in all train stations.
and you feel the hunger pangs, head on out to the Roemerberg, the old central area of Frankfurt. Right next to the Roemer, the old town hall, there’s a sausage stand. Believe me, it’s good. For 4Euro, you can drink the beer/apple cider/softdrinks and choose from 4 different sausages available.
