And today, we’re going to bike around in Vienna, Austria. Nope, it’s that other country where they do NOT have Kangaroos.
Biking is the fastest and cheapest way to explore the cultural, economic and political center of Austria. Citybike Wien rents out bikes. Before you can rent a bike, you need to register and pay a one-time registration fee of 1Euro. The first rental hour is FREE. Every succeeding hour (which obviously starts on the 2nd hour) costs 1Euro.
Citybike Wien’s insider tip for budget travelers: Seize the opportunity of the free hour! Return your bike after an hour and make a 15 minute break; rent a bike again after your break. This way, you do not need to pay!
