Europe String

An Open Letter

by Melissa Atienza-Petri on September 30th, 2007

To the dear readers of EuropeString,

Please accept my apologies for not being there for the past 2 months. Real life and work got in the way. With “real life”, I mean my 2 young kids. At work, we’ve had some emergencies which meant that I had to travel even more than usual.

No, those are not valid excuses. I have been doing this for years and I know very well that things come up and I should have been prepared. I should have had “buffer” posts to keep flyaway active during my absence. I should have managed my time properly, from the very beginning.  I am sorry.

In any case, things are back to normal, with work and real life. Today, I spent a considerable amount of time on my research and my writing. I have enough output to make sure that “future emergencies” are well taken cared of. This, I promise.

Now that we are back to regular programming, you can again expect posts about real travel experiences and tips I have learned through the years as an expatriate and traveler. In addition, I will share with you information from other resources which I think will help you a lot in your future travels.

Thanks for listening. Let’s keep traveling!
