I&#039;ve seen a similar trick, where a loop is made out of the string, with one end of the loop placed under your foot, and the other end placed over the camera&#039;s lens. I&#039;ve been using a mini-tripod - same size as this, but with flexible legs: http://www.apeshop.com/images/accessories/minitripod.jpg It&#039;s nice and light, and good for quick shots that need to be stable, as long as you have something to prop the camera up on...
