Don’t let the bedbugs bite!

Bed bugs are small nocturnal insects that feed on humans. They want blood. They are often found in beds — in the seams of the mattress or within the mattress itself.

Infestations are, more often than not, due to poor housekeeping. And since this is one of the problems with some very cheap hostels or B&B, it will do you a lot of good if you do your homework first.

  • Before booking that cheap hostel, make sure that you check TripAdvisor and see if anyone has already complained about the presence of bedbugs.
  • OR, when you get to your hostel room, check for signs.

No amount of extra bedding or blanket will protect you from being bitten, should they be nesting in the mattress that you are planning to sleep on. You wouldn’t want to end up like this guy, would you?
