Sherman’s Travel
More and more “old media” are embracing technology and the web by putting up websites to match or supplement the printed version.
ShermansTravel.com is doing it the other way around. The famous discounted travel offer site has entered the publishing world by publishing a spin off.
Sherman’s Travel (the printed version) is a quarterly magazine targeting travelers who want “luxury value”. You know those who want great amenities at better (not necessarily cheaper) prices. It’s perfect for those who wants to travel in style but at a price that does not include paying for the booking agent’s son’s tuition.
The first issue arrived on my doorstep last Winter, gratis et amore from Sherman’s Travel.
I love the Caribbean 101 feature. Plus, reading the magazine has inspired me to take more pleasure in traveling (sometimes traveling for work often just takes the fun out of it). The pictures and reviews beckons you to take the plunge and book another trip.
If I were you, I’d get a free issue. If it inspires you to travel, you can sign up for a subscription.
Anyway… I was also able to interview (thanks to Gita for setting it up) Mr. James Sherman himself. Watch out for this interview tomorrow!
