The B5Media network:

Top Budget Airlines in Europe

The summer travel season is just around the corner.  We all know what that means… everyone will suddenly have a case wanderlust or be bitten by the travel bug.

So if you are planning on joining thousands of travelers who will be vagabonding around Europe this summer, you may want to check out what is new with our most beloved budget airlines:

  • RyanAir — still serving most secondary European cities — started charging for each piece of checked luggage (ca. 6US$), online check-in (*raised eyebrows*) and snacks/drins on-board.
  • EasyJet added Madrid as a hub for Southern Europe.
  • AerLingus is leaving OneWorld alliance in April 1.
  • Virgin Express merged with SN Brussels Airlines to form Brussels Airlines.
