Visit Britain and Virgin Atlantic have joined hands for their marketing campaigns. These two will soon be offering reciprocal links on their respective websites for airline deals, featured destinations and travel.
It does not really mean that you’d get better travel deals all the time. But if a great deal does come up for a tour in and around Britain, you’d have better chances of knowing about it.

Yup, it’s yet another service feature from one of your friendly orange company… the easyGroup.
easyBus (how else would they name it?!) offers a low cost express minibus service linking London Central (Baker Street/ Gloucester Place) and Luton and Stansted Airport.
Rates start at around £2 (one-way) for online bookings and £8 for walk-up bookings. The price includes the carriage of one medium-sized bag and a hand luggage. If you need to bring more luggage, you need to pay for an additional seat where you can put your luggage.

One of the disadvantages of budget traveling vis-à-vis staying in cheap hostels is the state of the toilet you would have to use. If you are lucky, it’s basic and clean. A lot, though, are really awful.
To pamper yourself a bit (to offset the awful icky toilet experience), bring with you a collection of beauty products. This could even help start off or end your day right, despite the not-so-great condition of your hostel.
And no, it need not be expensive. In fact, you need not even spend a dime for them!

Basel is yet another one of the few European cities which hosts the best Carnivals in February. Fastnacht starts at 4am on the 26th (called Morgestraich) when electricity in Basel will be turned off. The city will be lit by torchbearers. The succeeding days will be spent with drums, whistles and bands of singers forcing everyone to listen to their music. If you want the cliché carnival affair, you can join the kids on Tuesday. Just make sure that you’re dressed up and have your face painted.
