Because of British Airways’ Cabin Crew Strike announcement, BA warned passengers to make alternative arrangements. Thanks to an 11th hour settlement, the Strike was cut short and BA scrambled to reinstate cancelled flights.
“The union representing cabin crew at British Airways called off a 48-hour strike planned for today and Wednesday and 72-hour walkouts next month.” 
Too late for BA, though.  Most of the reinstated flights today flew with very few passengers onboard.

You’ll get a big plate of Pasta for budget traveler-friendly prices. They have other meals available, as well. And everything tastes good.
There’s a catch, though. Oscar, the owner, is quite a character. He runs around shouting insults. If you’re not overly sensitive, you may even catch yourself hiding a smile. That is, if you understand Italian.

If you have a big appetite and need to get a full meal during your stay in Barcelona, it would be best if you look for family-run restaurants. Set menus, which includes a drink, appetizer, main course and dessert costs around 7euros.
Just walk around the Centre – Ciudad Vella and you’ll definitely find one of the many budget restaurants located all over Barcelona.

As previously reported, air passengers leaving UK will be facing an increase from February 2007. Yes, even if you have booked and paid for your flight before the tax hike was announced last December.
To repeat…

On short -haul flights, you can expect a tax increase of £5 to £10 per economy class passenger.
On long-haul flights, you have to cough up £40 for economy class (double for business class but that definitely would not apply to you, dear budget traveler).

Note that AIRLINES ARE DEMANDING FURTHER PAYMENTS FROM TRAVELERS FOR TICKETS BOOKED BEFORE THE TAX HIKE WAS ANNOUNCED.

Now that Winter has finally arrived in our part of the world, many are scrambling to get some snow action.  One way to avoid the high prices during this season is by avoiding school holidays.  Not only will it be more cost-effective, it will also spare you from crowded runs.
In Europe, those who normally come to ski holiday destinations in droves are the Germans, the French, the Brits and/or the Dutch.  Hence, you might want to check their school holiday schedule: Germany, France, the UK and the Netherlands.

To those who booked cheap winter travel deals and took advantage of the cheap offers due to the lack of snow in Europe, you can now start jumping for joy because winter is now in Europe!!!
After weeks and weeks of whining about how brown or green the Alps looked or how autumn jumped to spring, Europeans (including myself, a foreigner in Europe) have been finally granted what they (we) have been praying for – snow!!!

Not to breakfast in general, of course, but to breakfast that is included in your accommodations. You will definitely be charged a lot more than what the breakfast is really worth. More often than not, anyway, you’ll just get the standard petit de jeneur which usually means croissant, butter/marmalade and coffee or tea. You wouldn’t want to pay 10-20 euros for that!
Anyway, make sure that you are not charged for breakfast.
