Since Brussels and the Scandinavian capitals cater to Business travelers, business tend to be slow on weekends. And since it’s slow, travelers without reservations are offered big discounts. Truth in Advertising
RyanAir’s commercial for the £0 offer was refused clearance by the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Center after Monach Airlines complained that the ad was misleading.
I would have done the same. It definitely is not going to cost passengers £0 since you still have to add taxes and charges.
I am not surprised, though. RyanAir is known to have “potentially misleading” advertisments. Their first fray into that kind of advertisment is when they first advertised destinations. Say, Hahn was sold as “Frankfurt/Hahn” even if it is 100km away from Frankfurt.
