Fine Dining on the Cheap

MichelinIf you’d love to dine superbly and have luxurious taste, a trip to Europe is your best bet. This continent is, imho, an epicurean’s dream destination.

Problem is… you probably cannot really afford to pay to dine in any of those famous European restaurants listed on Michelin Red Guides, what next?

Well, you can check out our archives and save on everything else. And then splurge on one (or two?) meals at a restaurant famous for its good food.

In addition, you can still save a bit if you…

  • Eat at your must-dine-restaurant for lunch rather than dinner. Lunches are considerably cheaper than dinner.
  • If the restaurant has a bar, consider ordering a drink and appetizers. You’d get at least a taste of what the chef is cooking.
  • Parisienne chefs have been opening baby bistros. Dine there for a fraction of the cost of dining at their major restaurant.

A feast for your tastebuds need not always cost a lot.

[...] Don’t factor out fine dining on that day. Do it over lunch at some fancy restaurant. [...]
