Spend Less while Snowboarding

So you’d rather ski/snowboard in Switzerland, France or Germany than in the slopes of, say, Eastern Europe. That means, it’s going to cost you more.

So, you might have to find other ways to save money.

  • Brown Bag it. Most (if not, all) hostels/b&bs/hotels serve breakfast. Take advantage of that and pack a sandwich, a fruit and water in your backpack. Before you slide down the mountain, sit down, take in the view and unpack your breakfast lunch. Make sure that you pack all your leftovers or food wrappings back in your bag.
  • Snowboard during the week. Some resorts have better rates on weekdays.
  • If you spent the previous night having fun during the aprés ski party, you might want to consider just buying a lift pass for only half a day. Hit the slopes after you have fully recovered from a night of partying.
  • Check the ski package. You might just get a better deal.
