Save 50Euros during the Oktoberfest
In just about 3 weeks, all roads will lead to Munich (Muenchen) for Oktoberfest, the most celebrated festival in Germany. Interestingly, Oktoberfest is also celebrated in other countries.
Anyway…
So you will definitely be drinking a little. Okay, okay, more than a little. It is after all, the Oktoberfest. It is the time when everyone has an excuse to chug copious amounts of Beer. So, in your semi inebriated state, you look at that heavy glass decorated with a brewery logo and you think “hmmm… wouldn’t it be nice to keep this as a souvenir?”
I agree. However, if you feel that way, I suggest that you go to one of the tents and BUY a mug as a souvenir instead. Do NOT put the mug you just emptied inside your bag. Police have been known to search the bags of visitors for stolen mugs. And when you are caught, you will be fined up to 50 Euros!
Wouldn’t you rather spend 50Euros on more drinks than let the cops get it?
