Milan on a Budget 2

me and my bandanna
Wearing a power suit, high heels and armed with my luggage and laptop bag, I flew to Milan on Business Class. I am booked in a classy hotel and dined in an equally classy restaurant. It all seems pompous but hey, everything is paid by the company. Why should I complain?!

My business traveler persona is a far cry from my real travel persona (see accompanying picture/evidence). Backpack and a bandana on the head… that would be ME. And yes, Budget travelling is how I do it in real life.

A free afternoon in Milan wouldn’t be complete without giving the city the attention it deserves… looking for budget deals.

Here’s what I found:

Giulio Pane e Ojo in Via Muratori is the perfect budget traveler’s haven – Affordable Roman cuisine with matching ambience. Get off the Porta Romana station when you take the M3 Metro.

At some point, all foreign travelers seem to always look for the same thing… Internet Access! Head on to Zurigo. They also offer bikes for rent, should you feel like touring around the city on your bike.

In addition, here are 3 budget options (which I wrote last May) to see what the city of Milan has to offer.

A trip to any of the fashionable cities of Europe need not be expensive.
